Events, Classes, and Meetings

It's about time for school to be started, if it hasn't already. What are you going to be doing this fall? Why not come take classes to learn new techniques or join our Quilts of Valor group!
Quilts of Valor
Wednesday we returned from the QOV Foundation Conference. We had a great time and learned a lot along the way. We brought back quilt kits and new ideas for the shop. For those that have paid for a membership, we have a membership card and your pin. We will have it at the meeting for you. If you haven't paid, please bring $5.

We will have a meeting for QOV this Thursday, September 5th @ 5:30pm. Bring your machines and quilting supplies, as we will be quilting this meeting! We have a lot of quilts that need to be made. Also, if you have any red, white, and blue 12 1/2" blocks finished please bring them as well.
Classes
Barn Quilt Class: September 8 - 1pm-4pm
Make a 2' by 2' Barn quilt on BCX board. Just bring yourself and Barb will have everything you need. Barb has 30+ patterns to choose from.
Jelly Roll Rug Class: September 13 - 5pm-9pm
Beginning Quilting I begins September 12th - 6pm-8pm

Long-arm Rental Certification Class - Beginning & Advanced: September 28 11am-3pm
Learn how to use our long-arm quilting machine to quilt your own quilts. Then come rent our machine when it's available. The advanced class will teach you how to use the Pro Stitcher and computerize your quilting. We will only be offering this class 3 times a year and is a requirement to be able to rent our long-arm.

We are always getting new fabric and notions in, so make sure you come in and check them out or take a look at our website and shop online. We also have shop online, pick up in store. We are always taking suggestions for fabric you want to see in our shop so please let us know your ideas.
